Description
We make small batch, craft beer in the heart of Derbyshire. All of our beers will be designed, brewed and packaged onsite in our new town centre micro-brewery and are made using locally sourced ingredients and materials.

We keep our carbon footprint as low as possible - mainly selling locally and sourcing our supplies as close to home as we can - our ingredients come from Nottingham, our cans come from Stafford and our labels are printed in Burton. Our packaging is mainly recyclable or made from recycled materials. We keep waste to a minimum too - our used water is recycled for cleaning and our spent grain is given to a local small holding to feed their livestock!

Setting up a commercial brewery has been a dream for many years, so thank you for checking us out and trying our beer! We constantly rotate our brewing schedule and open our webshop once a month for you to order our beers. We then deliver the week after so will always be bringing you super fresh beer. Our beers are also available in local pubs and bottle shops as well as occasional farmers markets.

On tap at The Kentish Belle, Bexleyheath.
Nose is liquorice toffee, dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa, smoke. Taste is smoke, dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, raisin, liquorice toffee, quite salty.. Drier than Jack Dee"s wit. Rich malty sweet finish. Quite easy drinking given the strength.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours golden amber with minimal off-white head. There’s autumn fruits and malts in the aroma. In the mouth it is quite bitter with a creamy texture. Flavour has bitter hops and nuts with hints of citrus and malts. Traces of mango and lucozade come through later leading to a slightly dry finish. This is reasonable.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours almost black with minimal beige head and good lacing. There’s roasted malts and vanilla in the aroma. Bitterness to the fore in the mouth, along with evidence of alcoholic strength. Plenty of chocolate, cherries, roasted malts and some liquorice too. Finish is rough and boozy. This is quite nice but alcohol too much in evidence for me.
