Description
The unprepossessing concept of converting a former publc convenience into a taphouse has been pulled off with remarkable aplomb. The interior is tardis-like and cosy, with a friendly atmosphere and accommodating staff. The on-site gin distillery has now been joined by a microbrewery in what was originally the women's lavatory block! The pub can be hired for private parties. Tours are in the pipeline

Slightly hazy golden amber with a frothy white head. Hard to describe the aroma really, floral hops and a hint of spirit? Light bodied, sweet, floral and malty and somehow a little bit spiky, finishes dry and a touch bitter.

Cask at the Peterborough Beer and Cider Festival 2024 with Grumbo and ITFCDan. Aroma is malty, oaty, cereal, dried fruit, berry, roasted and chocolate. Thin body does not really allow this to follow through. Good bitter finish.

Well this was a strange one for a beer festival - some debate about what it was, but no malt used, a 'beer' made with honey and hops. Poured a pale, cloudy lemonade colour with a bubbly white head and a honey sweet aroma. Very light, sweet and medicinal and not really my thing at all! [Shrewsbury CAMRA Beer Festival 2022]
