Can at home. Pours black, nose is chocolate, earthy, nutty, taste is sweet, creamy, roasted, earthy. 8/7/6/6/6.5

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 23 Nov 2024) Black colour with brief, beige head. Malty, roasted, slightly fruity nose with notes of chocolate, milky coffee and dark rye bread. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, dark bread, hints of raspberries and a mild cacao bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. A slight acidity in the background, but rich and mellow. Nice one.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 8th February 2025. Coppery brown with shallow foam and scant lacing. Burnt molasses in aroma. Caramel malts, tangy and spicy fruits and lemon rind in-mouth. Caramel and toffee finish, again with lemon peel. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.
