It’s ok. The fig makes it more interesting than if it were just a regular Weizen.

OKD KOMINKA x Daisen G Hope White Ale/Weizen Not what I was expecting! As it was listed as a wheat I was surprised by the ruby brown color with a light beige foam. Sweet caramel biscuit aroma with soft cocoa. Medium bodied with a raspy carbonation. The taste is raisins, candied plums and soft cocoa. Kind of like a dunkel Weizen.

Tap at Ogaki Festival. Big cinnamon in the nose. Flavor is sweet, spicy, lots of cinnamon and a bit less maple. Body is thin. Finish of this one is also acerbic and a bit spicy-nasty. Hope they can clean that up, because the beers start well.

Tap at Ogaki Festival. Nice tart plum in the nose. flavor is tart, juicy plums and spicy Belgian yeast. Like the use of the ume. The finish is a bit rough and astringent, which definitely takes away from the total experience.

Tap at Ogaki Festival. Hazy amber-orange. light fig aroma in the nose, plus sweet banana cream pie. Flavor is a sweet, estery weizen with light fig notes and a touch of smoke. Body is thin and light. Not bad.
