Clear glass bottle: 500ml, BBD Dec 17. Poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 30th Mar 17. Amber brown with an off-white head. I actually liked this, a little malty nose and taste with a decent hop balance. My sweet tooth picking up the light malty sweetness straight away. Not bad at all for a cheap supermarket beer, people need to lighten up when rating such brews.

Can from ASDA, Keighley. Golden with next to no head and a small carbonation. Gritty tasting pilsner, although its texture is palatable enough. It’s slightly soapy in its nose and taste.

2012 Vintage. 500 ml bottle from Seiyu. 7.3%. Rather dry nose, some acidic wild character, apples, tiniest touch of vinegar. Clear, pale golden, lively bubbles, lace. Rich apple flavor with some sweetness and just a touch of tart acidity. Slightly oxidized as a result of the barrel aging. Strong but not boozy. Smooth and silky, with nicely done carbonation. Good stuff.
