Bottle from Seiyu. Marked down to 118 yen. Best by date of June this year. Poured into an English tulip pint. Pours a clear amber with a small head that dissipates fairly quickly but leaves a little rim throughout. Aromas of grain, caramel, wet cardboard and slight toasted toffee. Thin body with a watery mouthfeel. Taste is more of the same but a bit spiky on the palate. Finish tastes a little like old tea. Light piss, thin white head that dissipates to nothing, no lacing
Aroma of slight sweet pale malt, almost no aroma but nothing offensive
Taste - Fizzy carbonated water, slight sweet corn malt, almost no flavour, slight plastic, just coloured water
Palate - Medium carb, thin watery body, slightly sweet. No finish.
Overall - These cans were 90p for four, around 30p/pt. It doesn’t taste like lager, just water with a dab of corn. No fun to drink. Think this is the most tasteless beer I’ve had. Pay almost nothing, get almost nothing. Maybe ok with lemonade to make cheap shandy.

Short head. Golden to amber colored beer. Good amount of hops in aroma, some malts and hints of honey. Hints of esters. Some melanoidins, I think. Delicate scent/flavor of hooch or whiskey. Light to medium bitterness. Lightly carbonated, slick texture. Medium body. British must have different thoughts on IPA style than Americans.

Bottle 150 yen from Seiyu. 4.5% Deep copper-amber gold with a foamy off-white head and good lacing. The nose is butterscotch and grainy caramel. Scratchy body, a bit metallic/cardboard starting to go off I think, other than that the taste is sweet grainy mildly cloying caramel I associate with British brews hence my statement of Adnam’s Wild Hop being a cut above the average British brew I know. Kind of meh.

Bottle at home from asda. Ruby red, mahogany brown coloured pour with a fluffy cream head. Aroma is soapy, dirty socks, faint coco powder. Flavour is composed of woody, harsh tannin, berry, hot alcohol, coco. Palate is moderate carbonation. Powdery on the tongue. Pretty shit.
