Completely clear brown pour with no real head to speak of - aroma of roasted nuts and caramel - light fruity esters, some cocoa and hazelnut in the flavor - kind of a bready, yeasty finish - decent - if it weren’t filtered and pasturized it would probably be a lot better.

(Bottle 50 cl) Clear, light brown beer with a small, off-white head. Aroma of nuts. Medium-bodied with vinous, almost sherry like accents. Nuts and caramel in the flavour and a short, dry finish. Very delicate. 130806

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, orangey brown with a small, off-white head. Very vague aroma of nuts. Very light body, almost watery. Weak accents of caramel and nuts. Incredibly bland and disappointing. 060706

Bottled [BBE 05/2007]. Amber brown color, decent creamy head. Metallic woody and nutty aroma. Woody hops. Mildly bitter, sharp toffeeish and metallic. Some faint hops in the aftertaste. Unbalanced brown ale (or bitter).

Clear golden color, small white head. Fresh grassy nose. Light nutty malty notes, aggressive hopping. Long hoppy aftertaste - this is totally different stuff than the bland bottled version.

500ml bottle from Tesco. Reddish/brown colour with beige head. Dry malt aroma. Juicy malt in mouth with some red burnt fruit. Shame its got a bit of deadness due to pasteurisation. But malt is good. Tasted to me a bit like Batemans XXXB.
