Cask-conditioned at the Rook and Gaskill, York 8/10/2019. Golden in colour, with a tight, white, head. Creamy porridge oats, leafy hops, a touch of citrus fruit, leading to a dryish finish. Fine.

Cask at the Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Very dark red with a frothy-bubbly head. Has a dark malt aroma and a smooth texture. Its taste is dense toffee, evident in both aroma and taste.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Black with a creamy head. Has a heavier chocolate orange flavour, with its strength very much a factor in flavour too. Has plenty of aroma.

Cask @ Polka Hop, Wakefield. Copper with a golden glow and a small head. It's a sweetened bitter in style, with no real bitterness at all.

Half-pint shared with ManVsBeer, cask ale at Polka Hop in Wakefield. Clear copper coloured body, small sized white head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Moments of leafy hops on the nose. Malt-fruity taste profile with a marmalade impact. Bittersweet finish. Okay version of the style. (04.07.2019).
