Cask (handpump) @ The Five Lamps, 25 Duffield Road, Derby, Derbyshire, England DE1 3BH.Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain - caramel, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, earthy notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111021]

Cask handpull at Five Lamps Derby. Some coffee on aroma but more of a porter. Some choc some fruit but to be noest its not enormously well put together

Cask at the Bricklayers Arms Derby Beer Fest. It pours very dark brown, with a thin beige head. The nose is smoke, bonfire, light roasted malt, toast and salted caramel. The taste is roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, liquorice, charcoal and coffee. Light to medium body, fine carbonation and soft mouth-feel. Smooth, straightforward and tasty.

Cask at the Bricklayers BF, London. Pours russet-brown. Rich, doughy toast aroma, light fruits, light cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, dark toast, mild burnt sugar. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild roast finish, semi-dry, light mocha, toast. Awesome.

Dad picked this beer up in from Liquid Treasures, Belper, Derbyshire consumed 24.12.10 Pours amber with reasonable clarity. There is loads of sweetness to this, some spiciness but me and dad found it a bit of a cloying heavy sweet mess with little else to pick out. A5 A3 T5 P2 Ov9 2.4
