Leeds Beer Festival 2016. Very dark ale. Thin tasting although the vanilla is just about evident in what is a low flavoured stout. Itโ€™s quite crisp though.

Hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is ariy, dry and finely minerally crisp. Thin malts, a little cream and a pretty bitter toffee streak. Whisper of tea. A trace of esters. Bitter floralness. Touch of citric peel. Light dry finish. Harsh bitter linger. Bitter bastard of a beer, but drinkable.
