Description
Serious Brewing Company is a 6 barrel capacity brewery in Rochdale. The brewery was founded in 2015 by husband and wife Ken and Jenny Lynch. Consitency and quality are at the heart of everything that Serious Brewing Company is about from the brewing equipment to the choice of ingredients.

ABV: 4.8%. Cloudy - hazy medium yellow to orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, grass - leather - funk, sweet fruit, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, funky, fruity hops, fruity malt, pale malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. ABV: 4.2%. Clear medium orange yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity malt. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, pale malt, sweet malt, fruity malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190124]

Very dark brown with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a pleasant smokiness balanced by sweet dried fruits.

Cask @ Baum, Rochdale. Golden with a creamy head. Bland hoppy with an extremely light fruitiness and a dryish nose.

[Cask at the White Horse, Hedgerley] A pale amber pour with a ring of translucent head; leafy citrus aroma; crisp grassy citrus taste; then sharply bitter with a lingering grassy finish. Not quite what I expect from Nelson Sauvin hops, lacking the gooseberry characteristics.

Cask @ Flying Horse Hotel, Rochdale. Clear golden with a thick creamy head. Hoppy and smoothish with a light berry-fruit nose, but less so in taste.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a head. Denser hoppy-malty tasting ale with a malty nose and a slightly dry finish.
