Can, WW. Hazy pale gold with a head that quickly disappears, but the carbonation in the cider is frighteningly active. Dust, wood, ginger, dry apple, light vanilla bean nose. Flavor is ginger, vanilla bean, apple, barrel, light melted plastic. Aside from the melted plastic, this is good.

Tap at Shilling Canning, very pulpy orange, ring of white head. Nose has apples, tart and sweet, real apple meat and core. Flavor is the same, red apple meat, some lemon. Spritzy finish, full bodied too. Beefy for a cider.

On tap at the cidery, pours a pale gold, fizzy white head. Nose has juniper and apple cider and pickling spice. Flavor is very pickley, spice and white wine vinegar, apple is tart but juicy too. Pickled peach. Tart, acetic finish. Cool. 7 3 7 3 13

On tap at the cidery, pours a clear pale gold with no head. Watery looking. Nose has wood and butterscotch off the top, apples, some herbs. Flavor has apple, caramel, butterscotch. Everything is surrounded by medium acid apple. Finishes dry and prickly. No hint of alcohol. 7 2 7 3 13
