A very smooth seven percenter that only falls down by not having a point of difference. Aromas of pine and mango plus a little apricot and biscuit. Smooth finish that's a little short at the back but certainly tangy and refreshing.

330ml can from Gavel, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, tropical citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a super fresh, crisp, juicy mango, passionfruit, floral, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

(Can) Pours very cloudy amber with small white head. Nice fruity aroma, passionfruit and pine prominent. Medium body with very smooth fine carbonation. Great taste. Plenty of fruitiness - passionfruit and mango - nicely balanced with gentle bitterness. Very enjoyable.

(2021 Version 6%ABV) Pours clear deep ruby red with a tiny pink head. Complex aroma - earthy, yoghurt, berries, a bit funky. Light body with plenty of fine carbonation. It’s sour but not overmuch. There’s a lovely fruitiness, more berries than grapes. There’s some yoghurt notes. Unusual and very enjoyable.

Can. Pretty hazy gold with a white head that fades to a cm. Aroma is vibrantly fruity with oranges and pineapple. Only a little sweet with some crackers behind bright fruit. Low bitterness, slight pineapple astringency that suits it well. Good stuff.

From a 375ml can on 20/1/2021. Pours a slightly hazy medium golden with a smallish head. Not much to the aroma - a little bit of indistinct fruit and chemicals. A little better on the sip with some pineapple sweetness and a modest lemony bitterness. Medium bodied, slightly oily, with average carbonation. Would never guess it's 8%. Not at all offensive but a bit ho-hum.

Can. Opaque orangish brown with an off white head that's soon less than a coat. Aroma of vague citrus, some tropical fruit, a little furniture polish. Medium bodied. Taste is more encouraging - there's light bread behind mandarin, mango, coconut. Very sweet before moderate but sufficient bitterness ties it together. Very slight grassy hop burn at the end. Strong for what it offers. OK.

Can, 5.5% ABV. Black with a good inch of light tan head that fades to less than a coat fairly soon. 3+ Mocha aroma - more chocolate and brioche than coffee - some weeds and spices. Smooth textured - you'd guess lactose from the feel but it's not obvious in the taste, despite the sweetness. Some licorice and roast in with the dark malt. The coffee is a little more prominent. There is enough weedy bitterness to tidy up at the end but not so much to distract from the soothing dark malty things. Not fancy, just good.
