'Bottle. Deep brown with a beige head that''s soon a wisp at the rim. Aroma of toffee, bread, wine vinegar, light spices, twigs. Not a lot of body, lowish carbonation. Sour with both lemon and wine vinegar, some bun dough, hedgerow berries. A little note of boot polish at the end. A pleasant sour brown beer but I wonder whether it''s quite as intended.'

'Bottle. Gold with a white head that''s completely gone in seconds. 3- Modest grainy aroma with apples, peach blossoms, hints of the barn. Just medium bodied with low carbonation. Taste has a very nice balance of sweet, tart and spicy with sweet apples and stone fruit, gentle lemony funk and sourness, bitterness that''s tinged with floral, spice and twiggy notes. Not quite dry at the end.'

Gold! Always believe in your soul. You've got the power to know. This could be Indestructible. But seriously, it is as sophisticated as that arty uncle who used to come around. Too fancy for many, but seek it out and make it your friend.

750ml bottle from the brewery shared with Grumbo and SHIG at Grumbo's not the only rater in Suffolk tasting. Hazy yellow colour, white foam head and funky aroma. Taste is light grainy with citrus rind and funky horseblanket notes. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry funky finish. Quite drinkable.

'Bottle, pull 1. Clear gold with a white head that gradually fades to a good coat. Aroma of crackers, apricot, old oranges, damp fodder, bracken, spices. Funkier and sourer than their Gold but with a creaminess that''s just enough to make it slightly more than light bodied and carries the fruit towards the spiced grainy finish. Not as rounded as Gold, but this is the starting point of what they hope to be a long blending process. As ever, very drinkable and inviting rather than shouty.'
