Can pour from Lighthouse Liquors. Opaque, virtually black with trace sparkle, head that quickly fades with no lacing. Aroma is strong toffee, chocolate, vanilla and coffee. Taste is toffee, coffee, milder caramel, roasted grain, oak. Smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation, no sign of alcohol and finish as taste with lingering roasted bitterness. Very nice non-adjunct stout.

16 oz can in a trade with tfontana. Thank you buddy. Aroma shows candied orange, soft grain, a little bit of pine. The candied citrus with the soft, herbal pine is backed by a nice bread like malt backbone. Very low bitterness for balance. It’s respectable.

Can pour from Andover Classic Wines. It's a cloudy orange-dark yellow with light sparkle, lots of fine particulates, finger-width foam head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong candied lemon and orange. Taste is candied citrus from aroma along with a dank, piney bitter back end. Smooth, creamy texture with soft carbonation and finish as taste with lingering bitterness and yeast. Flavor is a bit creamsicle-like but finish runs counter to that. OK. Decent first exposure to the brewer.

Draught at Power Beer Fest, 5/14/22. Hazy, pale-brass-golden. Small, thick, white head, moderate retention. Peppery, lightly dank, slightly piney hops in the nose, with the seemingly malt-less character of 4 Star (just bland dough). Hints of juicy citrus, somewhat fleeting. Clean, no resin, bubble gum, other flaw, alcohol. But again, in the flavor, there's just so little there. The hops are peppery, citrusy, minimally flavorful and there's just no malt depth. All chewy texture, zero sweetness/maltiness. Too much bitterness on the finish, as well.

Draught at PBF, 5/14/22. Light chill haze, very pale/white golden with a small, white head showing moderate retention. Nose is black pepper transitioning in to...graphite? Almost oily, heavy mineral, but also peppery. No beer character. Maybe that's just what these hops give off? In the mouth it's just all graphite and black pepper. Slick, white dough-like texture yields zero sweetness or comfort. Undermalted, no beer character and tastes primarily of graphite.

Can at Power Beer Fest, 5/14/22. Clear, peachy-golden with a small, white head. Maybe a touch of chill haze. Kind of a lot more intense ester than I'd prefer, including mild banana, and also light clove and heavy white pepper phenol. Malts seem rather thin with white dough being quite sparse. Otherwise clean. Same ester/phenol intensity. Just too much heavy fruit incorporating light banana ester and way too much pepper. It's not a disaster or anything, and there's moderate malt character to add body, but this just feels so lackluster/blase and stereotypical American saison.
