Keg at Arkwright's Real Ale Bar, Belper. Dark gold, slightly hazy with a firm white head. Light citrus notes, some grape and some capiscum in the aroma. Taste is similar: sweet, slightly vegetal and overall noncommittal. Medium carbonation. Can't get into this one.

Can from the Green Dragon Ale House, Whitby. Hazy copper coloured pour with a swiftly retreating white head. Aromas of dried fruit, pineapple, mango, orange peel, apricot, peach. Flavours of pineapple, more dried fruit, banana toffee, nuts. Low carbonation. Not as impressive as I hoped.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Light gold, clear with a thin layer of white head. Floral antiseptic aroma, intense and fresh. Sweet taste initially, with notes of lemongrass and kumquat. Turns lightly bitter but never losing the vinous, astringent flavour. Long finish with intense citrus bitterness. Man, this beer showcases Slovenian hops to the maximum effect. Amazing.

Packs a punch! No carbonation (the can has been dented so may explain) but tastes great.
