Bottle from Trinkgut. Color: Clear copper, beige head. Aroma: Malty, caramel. Taste: Caramel, candy sugar notes, dark malt, hints of roasted malt. Earthy notes, hints of nuts. Grassy hop backbone. Medium body, just below average carbonation. A little too much carbonation for this style, in my opinion. Not exactly like an original Alt style either. Mwah, I've had far better Alt beer.

Bottle. Color: Clear dark brownish amber, thin beige head. Aroma: Caramel malt, grainy, sourih hints. Taste: Grainy, barley malt, bread notes, light sourish hints of the barley, some caramel and light hints of coffee. Hoppy backbone. Light to moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body, average carbonation. Not exactly an Alt prototype, but ok overall.

0.33 l bottle from local 'Trinkgut', best before January 2023. A little hazy, dark amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, nuts and a touch of honey. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter taste of caramel, grains, nuts and light honey, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Alright!

500ml bottle. Opalescent, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, snow white head. Grainy, pale malty aroma, a touch of maize, minimally doughy, yeasty overtones. Taste is grainy, pale malty, minimally papery, dry hoppy. Watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Simple, monotonous - so-so.

50 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Edeka, Kleve.
Clear golden with a white head. Grainy malty aroma with some faint hops. Sweet taste with a low bitter finish. Not the best helles ever but it's just decent if a bit boring.

€-Flasche: Golden, clesr, small persistent white head, mild sweetish-bitter grainy-strawy nose with an illusion of “mineralic” hops underneath; mild to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; shorter sweetish grainy-malty finish. Universal Helles, not bad for a chesp contract brew…
