Short pour at the brewery. Pours black, with a small, tan head. The nose is coconut cream, cocoa, tons of remarkably pleasant whiskey, and vanilla. Very sweet and malty, with a mild, dusty bitterness. Heavy body, syrupy, and clean. Beautiful and decadent.

Taster at the brewery. Pours black, with a small, beige head. The aroma is mocha, peanut brittle, rye, pumpernickel, and chalk. Sweet and dusty, with a mild, acrid bitterness. Medium body, slick, and thin. Pretty nice.

Taster at the brewery. Pours a murky, dull, orange color, with a fair foamy, white head. The aroma is muscat, nectarine, orchid, and some hot phenols. Sweet and sugary, with a light, acerbic bitterness. Medium body, hot, and thin. Nicely aromatic, but strangely hot and weak.

Taster at the brewery. Dull orange color, with a small, white head. The nose is grapefruit, quinine, sugar cane, and mild grass. Sweet and juicy, with a mellow, drying bitterness. Medium body, sharp, and a bit hot. Bold, sharp, and tasty.

Taster at the brewery. Pours a clear, amber color, with a small, beige head. The aroma is caramel, orange peel, spruce, and bread dough. Sweet and grainy, with a hard, resinous bitterness. Medium body, crisp, and slick. Odd and overly hoppy, but not bad.

16 ounce can from brewery. Hazy orange gold pour. Large, frothy beige head. Floral citrus aroma is subdued. Light, zesty citrus flavor upfront. Notes of lemon, pineapple and melon. A bit of resiny pine on the backend. Pleasant.

16 ounce can from brewery. Hazy orange gold color. Large, pillowy beige head. Big citrus aroma has some bready, earthy notes. Flavor is sweet orange, lemon zest, stone fruit and sweet babka. No noticeable dankness, despite what the can label says.

Draught at source: pours amber with whitish head. Aroma is malty caramel and dirt. Taste is like a mediocre brewpub version of an ESB. Not very good.

Draught at source: pours hazy with white head. Aroma is grapefruit and other fruity notes. Taste is tangy, a little bitter, some sweetness. Fine.
