Pale golden with minimal, fizzy head. Aroma is sweet apple, floral, fruity, light herbal. Fizzy, light body. Flavor is sweet apple, floral, herbal, fruity. Crisp finish. Good but very hard to finish a whole one.

Sampled at the 2013 Chicago Cider Summit. Pours a clear gold with minimal carbonation and no head. Aroma has a perfumey apple note with a bit of ginger underlying. Flavor has mainly sweet apples with a bit of tartness and a good supporting note of ginger.

12 oz. bottle, $2 single at Binny’s. And not date notched like the Sam Adams beers. Twist-off crown. First whiff is pretty yeasty for a cider. After that clears off, there’s some sweet apple smell, and a hint of berries. Pretty fizzy pour, with a head that’s gone as soon as I stop pouring. Pale yellow, though not as pale as the one Virtue cider I’ve had. Smell is a bit high on the apple side, but at least does not smell "processed." Taste is light on the apple, though, and has overtones of nuts and passionfruit. A slight note of wet hay in the next sip. A different taste to be sure.

Macro apple, fairly sweet apple juice flavor gives this cider a heaviness that detracts from overall drinkability, and a funny tartness makes you shudder at first before you manage to adapt to it.

5 oz. taster @R.I. Brewfest 2 February 2013. As I held the taster to my nose the ginger was very obvious. The taste is a nice balance of sweet apples and ginger. Lightly tart with a dry finish. This was much better than I was expecting. I would not turn this down if somebody offered me a bottle. And I feel it is worth a try. Enjoyable.

Aroma: The nose is heavy apple juice and very sweet
Appearance: It pours a clear golden color with tiny, fizzy white head and light lacing
Flavor: The taste, as you'd expect from the nose is extremely sweet, tart, and again, all apple juice
Palate: The body is light, but not watery, with a clean feel, quite crisp, and just a little dry on the finish
Overall Impression: Silly me, I didn't even realize these guys were Boston Beer... Anyway, this is a straight-up sweet apple cider. The crisp apple name is quite accurate, as that is what you get here. This one is all apple juice, extremely sweet, and a little tart too. This could definitely be dangerous for non-drinkers, high school kids, and housewives, as you can barely tell it has any alcohol at all.

Bottle. Pours with a deep orange hue, perfectly clear and carbonated. White ring, some lace, some legs. Tannic and lightly sulfuric aroma. Sweet apple, lightly yeasty/bready with some zesty acidity. Flavors are sweet and slightly out of balance. There is some acidity (even strong) but it is still cloying at this strength. Some tannin, some oak, baked apple and lemony acidity. Peppery alcohol burn, but miles too sweet for any balance. Low carbonation, with a fuller body.
