12 ounce bottle from a Kroger. Pours a clear amber color with a bit of an attempt at a head. Aroma of sweet apples, apple juice, some graininess. The taste is apple juice, apple skin, a faint bit of bitterness. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Decent.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark gold with no head. Aroma of green apple and ginger. Taste is green apple and some ginger. It’s like they took the other two, mixed them together and added some ginger. Light bodied with a thin yet sticky texture. Soft carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, not bad. Drinkable but nothing really special.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear gold with zero head. Aroma of slightly sour apple juice. Taste is light sweet...apple juice. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, it is what it is. Apple juice with 5% alcohol.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear dark gold with no head. Aroma is sweet fruit and red apples, but you can barely tell its there. Taste is medium sweet. I would not call this dry at all, but I suppose it is compared to their other offerings. Taste of sweet fermented fruits and champagne yeast. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, it’s not too bad. It still beats the pants of of most of the Woodchuck offerings.

Tap @ The Mayor of Old Town Foco. Transparent, golden appearance with a small white head. A bit tart, sweet apple juicy aroma. Very juicy, red apple, somewhat dry flavor. Too juicy for me.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours clear light gold with a few white bubbles. Aromas of apple and ginger - the ginger sort of muddles the apple aspects. Near med body. Flavor starts sweet, moves to ginger and finishes rather tart. Not exactly a dry finish, but not overly sweet either. Pretty drinkable.

Poured into a SA perfect glass. Clear amber/oak colored body. Lingering frothy ring of head. Smells like a blend of Juicy Juice apple grape juice, banana/plastic weirdness, & powdered sugar. Taste is like licking the inside of a Blow-pop wrapper. Apple-ish flavor, waxy plastic & stale water dominate. Lacquer, grape juice, & green Skittles fail to keep this drink tasting dry. A touch of bitterness that keeps me from regurgitating it. So-so crispness. Acidic, grain finish.

Sam Adams cider? Bottle from Half Time. Pours light gold with a few bubbles. Aroma of mixed yellow and green apples. Near med body. It’s a bit sweet, and there’s not quite enough skin aspect to balance that. However, the sugar leaves eventually and the skin bitter stays, so it’s ok. Fresh and clean. But fairly generic.

Pours light gold into a shaker. Bright white head quickly disappears to hug rim. Apple and mild ginger aromas. Dry with sweet apple and yeast upfront turning to ginger in the medium length finish.
