On tap at Brick Store. Pours dark amber with small beige head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is toasted malt, dark fruit, caramel. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, sweet, light dryness, very nice.

Half liter at the brewery - hazy orange with substantial, lasting head - deeply smoky nose - creamy texture - very dry, bordering on too much so, as there is not enough malt flavor to completely balance the assertive smoke - some light crusty bread pokes through, but not much - moderate bitterness late and lingering smoke - I love smoked lagers, but I need more to smooth and balance out the smoke.
