Cask at Willys. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light caramel and light floral hops. Taste veers towards the tannic. Weak tea finish. OK.

5/5/2018. Cask at Willy's Brewpub, Cleethorpes. Pours dark gold with a creamy just off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, vanilla, fruit and flowers. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Tangy finish. Not bad.

Tried at Willy’s Cleethorpes. Golden Amber colour with a thin white head. Aroma was weak malts taste a touch dull mid sweetness.

At last I’ve got round to reviewing a beer in Willy’s: two hand-pulled pints before ’The Town’ won 5-1 later in the day (10 Oct 2012). The beer has changed a little over the years and now sits at 3.8% ABV: still amber, clear and clean looking along with it’s biege foaming head. Always fresh, you can see the brewing kettle and the rest of the brewery from a window towards the back of the bar! The nose was a mixed bag of malts (biscuity) and hops (fruity): the taste also a pleasant blend of flavours, the semi-sweet biscuity malts just about winning the battle for dominance over the fruity, yet bittering hops. Very easy to drink and flavoursome session beer, always have two pints to make sure you’ve enjoyed it, I do.
