Cask at the Bank House Spooneria, Cheltenham, 03/08/24. Golden amber pour with a lasting beige head. Nose is fruit slice, bread, dates, toffee. Taste comprises dried fruit rinds, toffee, brown bread, herb, malt loaf. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent bitter.

[Cask at the Alehouse, Reading.] A bright chestnut coloured pour with a loose yellowish head; aroma of brown sugar and malt; rich malty taste, with the sweetness nicely balanced by the hops which just catch the back of the throat and add a hint of spice to the treacly finish. A proper old-fashioned bitter.

Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, moderate hoppy, orange, tropical fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, fruity malt, orange, tropical fruit.
