Description
Drygate is the UK’s first experiential craft brewery. Opened in June 2014, Drygate is a brand new brewery nestled in the historic east end of Glasgow, close to Tennents Brewery and Glasgow Cathedral. Brewing has been taking place continuously in this area since the 16th century.

Cask at the vintage. Pours deep ruby brown, nose is pine, toffee, light chocolate, taste is quite bitter, dry roasted, sweet, fruity.

Bottle from Drygate. Hazy chestnut body with a thin beige head. Lively carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of tea, copper pennies, nuts and wholemeal bread. Flavour follows the aroma. Medium body with a creamy texture. Nice fizz. A really impressive beer. Incredibly drinkable.

Cask at Drygate. Dark brown body with a thin off-white quickly that quickly fades. No lacing. Aroma of blackcurrant, bluberries and flat Coca-Cola. Flavour of fruit cake, Dr Pepper and stewed tea. Thin body with an oily texture. Interesting and unusual.

Keg at Drygate. Hazy golden body with a small white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, pale malt and melon. Flavour of melon, orange, grass and lemon. Thin body with an oily texture. Light fizz. Juicy and fruity. Nice.
