Re’-rating - totally different experience. Ripe mango and papaya. 3.9 so average to 3.7. Previous rating 6+4+6+3+12=3.1 On cask @ the Guildford Arms. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - mainly toffee. Taste -toffee again. Some biscuit. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a finish that could be cleaner. Overall - not one of Drygate’s finest.

Bottle from Valhalla’s Goat. Murky amber body with a massive off-white head that holds well. Light lacing. Aroma of caramel and freshly cut grass. Flavour of biscuit, white pepper and muted citrus. Spicy finish. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation prickle. Leafy and peppery - probably to touch too spicy.

Fonefan 290814. Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is apple, malt, fruit, hop. Flavour is apple, malt, fruit, hop, yeast, pine. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

On cask @ the Standing Order. Appearance - deep amber with a nice head. Nose - a bit elusive. Light toffee or caramel. Taste - toffee and lemon combo. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a finish that to be honest, gets a little cloying. Overall - we could be in ESB territory here. It could do with more bitterness though.

Cloudy orange beer with a thick frothy head and a bitter, fruity aroma. Flavour has all sorts going on. Initially a slightly sour fruit taste, grapefruity hop but these are balanced out beautifully by the spicy, malt-y aftertaste. Doesn’t taste as strong as it is, has a great blend of flavours. Very drinkable.
