Tap at Foxtown. 2023 version. 9%. Rich, bready, some strength to it for sure. Rather luscious malt tone, rich caramels, light chocolate. Fresh and quite delicious.

Tap at Foxtown. True to style, cool and crisp, nice balance. I was a little concerned about the hop bill, but it works out rather well too. Dry, but none of the undesirable esters of brut IPA. Really tasty, hope they put this in six-packs.

Tap at Foxtown. Heavy, full bodied. Not unlike a Wee Heavy at times, but sort of spiced into oblivion. A little too much of a sugary feel for me. Drinkable, but not one I'd eagerly revisit.

Tap at Foxtown. Cherry burgundy brown body, thin beige head. Rich, sweet, true flavors for the style. Lacks the body that would make this fantastic, but otherwise pretty solid.

Tap at Foxtown. Odd plastic aroma. Definitely a lacto sweet edge to it. The fruit is rather undefined, unimpressive. Vanilla from the lactose sort of dominates. Too big to be refreshing. Not good.

Has a pleasant UK sort of Brewhouse aroma. Much more like a true UK bitter than most examples in the US, just lacks the hand pump. Easy and sweet, interesting UK malt undertones. Good.

Tap at Foxtown. Intense spicy barrel notes. Really barrel forward, lots of depth there. A little warm, alcohol forward with the big ABV, but thankfully not sugared out too much. More enjoyable than most 13 percent Stouts. Good.

Tap at Foxtown. A little bit boozy in the aroma. Steady beige head, opaque black body. Barrel forward, pleasant oily chocolate Stout behind it. Maybe needs more age. Pretty tasty, good.

Keg at Brewed Omen, 9/25/22. New brewery! Brewery #2106, USA #1709, Wisconsin #187. Clear amber, medium creamy tan head, good retention. Weak aroma of toffee and nuts. Taste is toffee, raisin, cherry, piney hop.

12oz can from the brewery. As the description on the can says: somewhere between a Marzen and a modern Festbier. Rich and malty, but also smooth and sweet. A little more complexity than typical, sort of a rustic old school feel...perhaps the mild Saazy noble hops talking there. Pretty good.
