Description
Hopjacker Brewery was a progressive new microbrewery based underneath the Dronfield Arms Free House, and produced exciting, hop forward beers. Situated in the town of Dronfield, this is approximately 5 miles south of Sheffield and 5 miles north of Chesterfield. The brewery was first started up in 2015 to produce more of the beers that the founders, John and Chris, loved - using specialist malts and hops from around the world to craft their beer. Brewing ceased in early 2020, but the Dronfield Arms, which had different ownership, continued on.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. 5.8%. Deep copper colour. Light haze. Suds of white head. Nose has ripe stone fruit. Dark plum and black cherry, maybe. Soft, fresh citric hop. Notes of peach stone. Taste has a soft, candied fruit sweetness, with a little tangy sourness. Clean, refreshing mouthfeel. Loses the sweetness toward the end, getting more tangy, and drying out in the close. Nice one.
