It's a good one! I'm glad, since it's the closest brewery to my house.

Tap at the brewery - listed as 13.2% - Clear ruby beer - faint wisp of lace - smell is intense bourbon, vanilla, coconut - you need to like bourbon to enjoy this - good thing I do - flavors of bourbon, vanilla, treacle, caramelized sugars - finish has some alcohol and just the right amount of bitter oakiness - as far as boozy BA barleywines go, this is a winner.

Tap at the brewery - listed as 8.2% - lightly hazy gold - looks completely still, almost like a mead - flavor and aroma are also very mead-like - loads of honey flavor and sweetness - minimal carbonation - thick and syrupy mouthfeel - some clove, spiciness and alcohol heat - light toasted graininess reminds you it is supposed to be beer - so cloyingly sweet - pass.

Tap at the brewery - a very clean, lean, bright, citric ipa - malt is medium sweet, but clean, allowing the hop flavors abd bitterness to shine - flavors of citrus, pine, mango - there is some light sprouted garlic on the tail end (simcoe? summit?), but otherwise a nice, pleasant hop showcase - full and soft in the mouth - nice.

This beer tastes like Nutella - now, I love beer and I love Nutella, but together? - not so much - there is also a lot of sweet maple and some cocoa - very sweet, with an almost gritty texture - finish of tootsie rolls - bleck.

Tap at the brewery - this is more like a belgian ale, really (an overspiced one) - very strong phenols (clove, pepper) and intense banana esters - there is also a light hint of metal and chlorine way in the back - not pleasant - some peach on melon - sugary and spicy finish - meh.
