16oz can. Thick beige head on top of a thicker black-brown body. Sweet and sugary, boosted ABV. Best shared, don't think anyone would want 16oz of this. The flavors are there, but don't cut it. Full on undesirable Pastry Stout in the bad way. Not good. Not drinkable.

4 pack from Skeleton Key. Kicks up a lot more foam than the other brew. In fact, it spill out of my glass. Settles to a proper black stout beer with a foamy tan head. Cocoa and vanilla equally represented in the nose, just not very strongly. Taste, though, is likely my favorite in this pack. Admittedly high in pastry stout-ness, but I'm liking the thick mouthfeel and the sweet stickiness on my lips. Oh, yeah: taste has plenty of milk chocolate and vanilla. Plenty of warming alcohol in this case, but not hot. A great dessert beer.

As the second beer in my tray, this still had more of a stout head standing, dark tan over another black beer, with a little leg up the side. The smell is lightly and mostly offers cream. Coconut is not abundant here. This beer sips much more thick than the Hazelnut Praline above. Pleasantly oily, more likely from the toasted coconut, leaving a bit of oil behind. Mildly roasted stout malts to help keep the flavor going. And then there's a tinge of raspberry at the end.

Taster from can at Binny's, North Riverside. Quite nice. Good, fruity hop nose, orange-to-copper IPA body. The hops are a bit mild here, but definitely present. I blew through a lot of samples at this tasting, but this will be worth a second look when I get the chance. Alcohol is present, but not overpowering.
