Bottle. Color: Black, no head. Aroma: Roasted malt, peat. Taste: Dense, viscuous mouthfeel. Roasted malt, caramel, liquorice, peat notes, herbal medicinal notes, dark chocolate notes. Could have had more peat in my opinion.Full body, low carbonation. I don't like the 'medicinal' part of this beer. I do like the density. Had higher expectations.

Bottle. Color: Lightly hazy reddish amber, beige head. Aroma: Dark malt, some dark fruit. Taste: Dark malt, caramel malt, some smoke, some candy sugar, fruity notes of yellow dried fruit, some dark dried fruit and citrus. Herbal hints. Hoppy backbone. Medium body, below average carbonation. Over moderate sweet, moderate bitterness, slight sourness. Interesting complexity.

Fles gekregen van NickvdH. Het is een troebel donkerbruin bier met weinig tot geen schuim. Het heeft een aroma van biscuit en rozijnen. De smaak is vol, drop, rozijnen en pruimen met een biscuit achtige smaak in de afdronk.
