Description
Brouwerij de Kwint was started by Gerrit Kwintenberg in 2017 as a homebrewery. In the years that followed, brewing took place in increasingly large pots, and the transition was made to a 30-liter electric kettle. Test brews are still brewed in it. In 2023, with registration at the Chamber of Commerce, the step was taken to release the first beers commercially. These, a Barley-Wine and an Imperial stout, came onto the market in the spring of 2024.

0.33 l bottle from 'Hoppiness', batch #06, best before August 2026. Quite hazy, dark amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy and slightly floral aroma of banana, honey, vanilla and some clove. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy and a little floral taste of banana, honey, clove and some vanilla, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, a little boozy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant ale, pretty much tastes like a Weizenbock though.
