On tap at Lions Tail. Filtered amber-tan. Perhaps the most overboard wine barrel beer ever. Champagne notes. Odd, amateur stuff. Not that good. Really friendly score for this one.

Tap at Lion's Tail Sugary. Thick. Not that well attenuated. Thick, homebrew mentality and finesse or lack thereof. Not that impressive. Overbearing but one dimensional and bland too. Drinkable, but wholly unimpressive.

Tap at Lions Tail. Sugary. Thick. Not well lagered. Pretty lackluster stuff. Unappetizing caramel sweetness. Certainly not worth bar price. Off tones. Meh.

Tap. Pours lightly hazy golden, medium off white head, great lacing. Aroma is pine, bathroom cleaner, pledge, lemongrass, aspirin, butter. Flavors is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, unappealing. Medium body, lingering harsh bitterness. Full of what I don’t like in an IPA.

Tap. Pours clear reddish mahogany, small beige head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is fairly light, roasted malt, coffee, hint of root beer, rye. Flavors is medium sweet, light bitter, a touch of sharpness, roast. Light plus body. Unrefined. Kind of floating near schwarz territory.

Keg at the brewery. Dark reddish, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of faint toastiness. Not much. Taste is caramel, tart cherries, hints of chocolate. Thin. Disappointing.

Keg and nitro at the brewery. Dark brown, tan head, decent retention. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, brown sugar, caramel. The nitro version has less brown sugar and more vanilla extract. Taste is roast, vanilla, brown sugar, chocolate. Nitro version same but a little more vanilla forward. Hints of cherry also. Both versions medium bodied with a mild lingering bitterness.

Keg at the brewery. Slightly hazy golden copper, thin fizzy offwhite head, poor retention. Aroma of honey, doughy malt, yeast, spice. Taste is stone fruit, citrus, lime, wheat, yeast. Thin-medium bodied, high carbonation. Needs some refinement but pretty solid.
