Cask at the Five Bells. A glossy black pour with a tawny gleam and a ring of beige head; aroma of toast with a trace of pepper; dry fruity taste with some well roasted malts; then a satisfying dry finish with lingering pepper. Rather good.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Swindon Beer festival, 28/10/2016 where for some reason it was called ’Ruby Steam Punk Mild’. Copper in colour with a slight, beige, head. Sweet, slightly sweet malts, a vague toastiness and some red berry fruits before a sweetish finish. Good.
