On tap at Escollo, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has toasted bread and some earthiness. Flavour has caramel—almost diacetyl-like—along with toasted bread and a touch of earthiness. A bit too much buttered popcorn-like caramel. Okay.

On tap at Escollo. Pours clear brown with a light beige head. Odd dusty nose. Flavour has a fairly sweet malt profile, some brown sugar, a light nuttiness. Meh.

Keg at La Roma, Mexico City. Clear mahogany colour, mid sized head. Caramelly grapefruit aroma. Sweet with above medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Dominated by heavy treacle and caramel, some piney grapefruit. Resinous bitter finish.
