Draught keg at the Blue Boar, Leicester as part of their 'From Sussex with Love' festival. Light to mid-golden and clear with a fluffy white head. Grainy and spicy aroma with a scent of hat prevalent. Balanced taste with a dry papery note in the peppery finish. Heavily carbonated. It's a drinkable if unexciting pilsner. Was hoping for more but at the end of the day this'll do.

Can ordered from South Downs Cellars. Aroma has a heavy bitter streak over a yeasty cellar sweetness. Hazy bright gold. Fizzy translucent white head soon fades. Medium bitter before a big wave of sweet edged citrus sourness sweeps through. Light bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Not the malty spicy beer the can mentions, is this a batch with a load of Citra?! Enjoyable enough.

Can ordered from South Downs Cellar, Haywards Heath. Aroma is earthy, fruity, marmalade. Hazy amber orange. Thin foamy translucent white head. Medium bitter. Tart citrus with a touch of quinine. An earthiness and resin. Light-medium bodied. Slick with a viscous mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Dry astringent finish. For me this is more like a SIPA or actually an Amber just in terms of the bitterness and resinous. Decent marmalade-esque stuff.

Bottle from Bottle and Jug in Worthing. Plain aroma. Lovely mahogany colour. Quite a strong grippy malty flavour. Some hopy aftertaste but quite long. Not sure how to describe the end but not a big fan of it. Overall though, fine for the style especially with fish and chips.
