On tap at GBBF 08. Clear amber, slight beige head. It’s alright, a bit caramelly. Good and tasty easy drinking lager. Little bit buttery. Clean though.

Bottle at home ... Slightly hazy yellow ... light fruity banana wheat nose ... a mid to top end Wheat beer. Good body ... bit over fizzy which lets it down a bit.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy light brown with a diminished off-white head. Grainy, slight hay and acidic aroma. Flavour is mild malty with a minimal note of sweetness as first and then it goes more acidic before the finish. There is a slight herbalness and liqourice note in the finish. Ends dry.

(Draught at GBBF, London, 8 Aug 2007) Pale yellow colour withe white head. Fruity nose with notes of banana, plums and a slightly citrussy wheat aroma. Fruity taste with wheat and lemon, slightly citrussy finish. Nice and balanced, but I’ve tried more exciting hefeweizen.

Bottle. Light amber coloured, smaller, slightly lacing, quite stable off-white head, sweet (dark-) malt and toasted malt in the nose, nutty and hoppy aromas are also detectable; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium-bodied; stronger sweet-nutty-malty finish with an aromatic hoppiness in the very end. A very fine, well balanced Bier.......
