Tap at Dead Bird. Pretty enjoyable Barleywine. Pleasant ABV. Nice balance, bitterness. Has some UK tendencies, but could be called US style as well. Good.

9% on tap in 2026. Rich, heavy specialty malts, pleasant bitterness. Perhaps more of an American Strong Ale than a Black IPA at times. A little amateurish but bold malt tone.

Sample at GTMW 2023, 8/12/23. Hazy orange, thin white head, average retention. Aroma of mango, pineapple, tropical fruit. Taste is tropical fruit, mango, orange, pale malt. Juicy low bitterness. This doesn't seem like a Vienna. Did they pour me the wrong beer?

On tap at Dead Bird. Pleasant bready tones. Relatively true to style, filtered, easy medium body. Not quite nailing aroma or hop tone, but the bready malt tone makes it work. OK.

On tap at Dead Bird. Rindy orange and grapefruit tone. Not really true to style for a new england but a reasonable enough ipa/apa. Earthy malt undertones. Decent enough modern apa.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2017. Pours a clear gold with an orange hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of pine and grass hops with sweet grains and mango supporting. Flavor has pine hops up front with sweet grains, grass and mango in the finish.

Keg at Hopcat Madison. I wonder if the cherries are intentional. Black, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of cherries, roasted malt, chocolate. Taste is roast, vanilla, chocolate, cherries. Medium bodied. Nice.

Kind of a funky weird beard beer. I like it but the source cherry almost makes it seem as if the beer is bad.
