Dark brown-black color, good creamy beige head. Aroma has licorice, some sweet notes. Medium-bodied. Soft palate. Flavor has licorice, toasted maltyness and some piney hops. Clean, stylish stout.

Deep ruby color, steady creamy beige head, lace. Piney, woody hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavor has also piney woody notes, light caramalt backbone. Maybe not caramelly enough for real brown ale. More towards new wave brown ales.

Clear golden color, small white head, lace. Earthy English hops in the nose. Light-bodied. Citrusy, almost grapefruity, although not very strong, hoppyness. Some sweetish fruityness. Clean to have with food. Claims to have 17 IBU but feels to be more than this.
