On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out candied sugar, Belgian yeast, some fruity esters and a little alcohol. Flavour is along the same lines, but hotter, with lots of alcohol, Belgian yeast and fruity esters. Shows every tenth of a percentage point of alcohol and then some. Finishes with lots of residual sugars and alcohol. An amateur Belgian Strong, but it's still decent in small amounts. Needs tweaking.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy golden color. The aroma is moderately sweet and malty. It has a food body strength, it’s fairly sweet, but the pale malt flavor justifies that; it has delicate fruity esters and mild yeast character. Correct bitterness, with pleasant alcohol warmth.
I may have had a few Belgian beers like this. A bit heavy, I wouldn’t drink much of it, but quite nice.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Slightly hazy golden yellow with full white head. Citrusy hops, mild pine. Found the alcohol to be a little milder than others. Nice balance, but could be a touch more flavourful.

Amber, bubbly head, fairly robust piney, citrusy hop nose. Fairly rich, chewy malts...sweet and with alcohol. Pretty intense, maybe could tone down the alcohol and even the malts.
