Description
In 2003 the Pask family, long-time residents of Fernie, had a dream of their own to bring the brew back to the small rocky mountain coal mining town. They did just that, setting up a Brewery in their family barn. It was the start of things to come.
In 2007 we relocated to our existing building, designed and built from scratch. With constant growth, Brewhouse expansion, new products and revamped recipes, we’ve travelled through kegs to cans to 650ml bottles and into growlers, currently distributing throughout BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and into Manitoba. As we continue to grow, we’ll never forget our roots. It’s as simple as Good Beer from a Good Town.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy light amber color with some copper hue; creamy head. Simple aroma, some yeast. Smooth mouthfeel; some malt flavor, bread, yeast, and then very light fruity touch.
I’m happy that the fruit is not so evident, still it’s a simple beer.

Bottle from Central City Liquor Store, Surrey
Hazy light amber color. Mild aroma, some cereals, light malt. Pleasant flavor of grainy malts; it has a correct bitterness, not much vibe from the hops too.
Not a modern IPA, it could be a traditional one.

Cherrywood-accented medium brown. Toasty aroma with chocolate, and no maple. Thick syrupy body, with light chocolate, and hints of toast and maple. OK porter, the maple is more a gimmick as it has largely fermented out, but it is probably better that way.

Amber, hazy and the light shines through it with some berry colour. The aroma is lightly fruity. Fruity, jammy palate is quite bland, with a little bit too much yeast and doughy malts to really be refreshing.

Underlying maple syrup. At first, a slight metallic tinge. Not really sweet. It's got a bit more maple as it warms but still find lacking

Bottle from BC Liquors, Robson St., Vancouver
Black color; medium sized compact head, but reducing quickly to a thin layer. Mild aroma of roasted malt and light liquorice. It has a good body texture; the roasted malts are quite smooth; there is a light perception of burnt malts too; but there is also some liquorice, that I don’t fancy too much; traces of vanilla and coffee. It has some degree of complexity, and it’s well constructed. Pleasant.
