Kicsi, gyorsan eltűnő hab, fekete szín. Illata enyhe, leginkább karamell, némi pörkölt malátával, leheletnyi komlóval. Pörkölt malátával indít, amihez némi fekete csoki illeszkedik, majd kissé gyantás komlósság tör előre. Sajnos a sör nagy hiányossága az összhang, ami bizony valahol elveszett. Talán némi test javítana valamit az élvezeten, de az is soványka. Lehet, jót tenne neki némi érlelés, de félek ennek ez sem igazán használna.

Kicsi, gyorsan elillanó hab, borostyán szín. Tokaji aszus illat, némi komlós, kissé ipára hajazó aromákkal. Íze inkább fehér boros, csak kissé hasonlít aszura, talán az édesség hiánya miatt. Persze a sör is kikandikál a boros ízvilág mögül. Utóíze kissé savanykás, a boros és a sörös jellegek jó összhangjával, de gyorsan lecseng és eltűnik. Sajnos jellegzetes édeskés aszus ízvilágot nem képviseli, és ez nekem minden ilyen jellegű sörből hiányzott eddig.

Közepesen magas és hosszú hab. Narancssárgába hajló, borostyán szín. Illata citrusos, enyhén gyantás, fűszeres aromákkal. Enyhén gyantás, markánsan keserű ízekkel indít, pici pezsgős hatással. A csúcsponton citrusos, gyógynövényes-teás aromák bukkannak fel. Lecsengéskor a gyümölcsös aromák erősödnek fel, icipici édessel. Utóíze hosszan tartó, kesernyés, gyümölcsös, kicsit édeskés. Igen összetett, finom, testes sör.

On tap @ Felni’s, Budapest, sample size (as Man-Go). Clear amber color. Off white head with good lacing. Aroma’s of tropical (unripe) fruit and resin. Citrus, tropical fruit, resinous and fruity sour reyronasal. Flavor is rather mild, light sweet & bitter. Light bodied. Finish is grainish first, then quite bitter. Nice!

Bottle 330ml. [ As Zips X-mas Ale 2013 ].Clear dark red brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, spicy, X-mas spices. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark malt, spicy, X-mas spices, mint, licorice, anis seed. IMO. quit odd, but okay for me. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160422]

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting.Clear dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, roasted malt, licorice, spicy and minty. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with warming alcohol. 220416

Bottle. Frothy off-white mostly deminishing. Moderate malty and hopy and spicey aroma. Moderate bitter nice spicey flavor. Licorice, cinnamon. Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.
