Pours a black body and a light brown head that doesn't last very long. Aroma's: lots of bourbon, boozy, molasses, chocolate. Flavour is heavy sweet, mocha, chocolate, bourbon. Fairly full bodied. Firm carbonation. Long finish full of sweetness, chocolate. Perhaps a tiny bit too sweet, but the barrel aging is well done.

Bottle shared at tasting. Opaque black color, small off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, dark malts, roast, lightly bourbon, decently vanilla, decent bitterness. Solid.

33cl Blik bij De Binnenkomer. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Ruikt iets vissig, hard, verbrand, as, zwarte Engelse drop, caramel, bitter. Lichte body. Weinig balans, lactose voegt niets toe hier. Geen topper helaas.

Can shared, black beer, small head. Aroma is sweet, malt, molasses, roast, caramel. Taste is the same, malt, bitter, roast, coffee, sweet, sugar, molasses, sticky, alcohol warmth, boozy. Surprisingly nice.

T: bittersweet coffee nib, mocha, toast, oats.
F: herbal hops, bitter espresso, dry oats.
P: medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation.
Clean dry coffee profile, pretty good.

Can at home, black beer, small to no head. Aroma is roast, chocolate, sweet, hint of coconut, lactose. Taste is the same, lactose, sweet, chocolate, coconut, sticky sweet. Overall quite nice but the end is too sweet

A: toasted coconut, vanilla, bourbon, toffee, raisin.
T: very sweet date, raisin, toffee, vanilla, vague biscuit.
F: herbal hops, coconut, dried fruit, warming bourbon alcohol.
P: full body, oily-syrupy texture, soft carbonation.
Utterly enjoyable heavy Quad; have an extra point for not letting the bourbon turn it into an acetaldehyde mess.
