0.5l bottle. Really deep and dark as good at black in the glass this one. It has a small nicely islandy dark chocolate top that's leaving small lacing down the glass. Good chocolate nose, definitely not extreme but gentle subtle and quite nice. Some soft ashtray thing is also present here, at is an is a soft papery touch. Smells quite nice. Yeah, that tastes quite good! Loaded with chocolate, chocolate malts, chocolate paper and even a little bit of chocolate milkshake. Impressive mouthfeel on this relatively softly alcoholic beverage, quite smooth in the mouth and it's softly comfortably carbonated. Layers of flavor here. Ends with a little coffee acidity in the end and aftertaste. Well done! 07.09.2013

On tap @ Ujevnt. A near-clear golden colored little thing this with a small quickly sidesticking and islandy just off-white top. Lovely smoked nose. Have to admit that I'm not really a big fan of these smoked noses unless it's combined with a heavy imperial stout or similar, but this is quite nice. Light beefy bacon and smoke house. It has a near flat carbonation level in a light oily mouthfeel. The taste is more classic smoked. Smoked salmon, wet grass, ham and a soft yeasty fruitiness. It's actually not that bad this. Don't feel a instant urge to get another one, but you'll never know... 20.07.2013

On tap @ Naboen. Light cloudy and deep peach orange in the glass. Smells really nice and fruity with just a ton of peaches. Fruity, lychee, juniper berries and it has a really nice gliding sweetens on the overall aroma. I really enjoy. I have to say that it's just as peachy in the taste as it was in the aroma. Shockingly how much peach flavor and aroma they have managed to squeeze into this one. Nice and oily on the mouthfeel and it has a mild prickling carbonation level. Ripe apricots, grass and some grains and hay in the finish. Overall a somewhat different and exciting APA. I'm sure they will sell a good amount of this. 10.08.2013

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Orange to amber colour, moderate off-white head. Moderate but nice aroma of fruity and piney American hops. The flavour has also a moderate but nice amount of American hops, while the malt base has some toffee, but is not too sweet. There is really nothing particularly "wintery" about this pale ale - it is a nice and refreshing sessionable beer, for the crowd who, in the long run, get tired of the stronger and richer Christmas/Yule beers.

On tap @ Voss bryggeri, with VANØ Bergen. Pours black with a creamy finger thick mocha head. Aroma is roasted malts and grain, with sweet whiffs of sugar and kandi. Full body with average carbonation. Flavour is sweet with roasted malts, peat, chocolate and kandi, with a sweet salty finish. Very nice velvety and full flavoured for its ABV.

On tap @ Voss bryggeri, with VANØ Bergen. Batch 2. Pours golden orange with a massive creamy head. Aroma is sweet malts with grain, barnyard and a bit of smoke somewhere in the back. Medium body with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with smoked malts and grain.

Flavour is bitter hops with orange peel and grapefruit, as well as a nice malt backbone. Nice long bitter finish.

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. Clear golden body with a medium sized white head. Mild but nice aroma of fruity hops with a hint of smoke. Flavor is pale malt, some smoked meat, light citric fruit and medium bitterness. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. A nice, refreshing light smoked beer.

Sampled at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. Very close to black body with a big fluffy and fast disappearing off-white head. Aroma has dark, light roasted malt, dry fruit and dark chocolate. Flavor of sweet, dark malt, toast, dry fruit and dark chocolate with moderate bitterness. Fine body and decent aftertaste. A rather nice stout, but I really can’t identify the salt here, neither the extraordinary quality. Might be the 4,7% strength drowning in all the other festival flavors.
