Bottle at the Cads 10th Anniversary bash, thanks to the nutter - thepeter, 29/03/15. Rich chestnut brown with a good sized tan covering. Nose is nutty, dark fruit rinds, dates, brown bread with a sweat on, toffee. Taste comprises sweet licks, brown sugar, stewed dates and prunes, toffee pangs, sweaty fruit loaf loaded with brown sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet lickings to close. Decent Kvass.

Bottle from Rasputin Food and Wine, Ipswich, UK (described to me when purchasing as ’Ukrainian live beer’). Historic rating. Poured a deep copper colour with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast, raisin and prune. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Medium body, slightly oily texture. Enjoyable.

Bottle at The Cad’s 10 yr Shindig. Thanks to the Peter. It pours clear gold with a small white head. The nose is sweet, plenty of paper, grainy, rubbing alcohol and cereal. The taste is sweet, raw, papery, sugar, dull grainy action, alcohol and bread. Medium body and fine carbonation. This really does nothing for me at all. Nope.

Massive bottle at The Cad’s 10 yr Shindig. Thanks to the Peter. It pours dark brown with a thick tan head. The nose is crazy sweet, slightly spice, damp cardboard, brown sugar and sticky caramel. The taste is pretty similar....so very sweet, sticky, treacle, sugary, brown bread, caramel and toffee with a sweet finish. Light body and average carbonation. Jesus.... too sweet.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Stas. Brown color with amber hues. Aroma of malt, lots of rancid butter, caramel, vegetal notes and a chocolate note. Sweet flavor with caramel, quite a bit of butter and a chocolate hint. Medium-bodied.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Stas. Almost clear amber. Awful aroma of rancid butter, creamed corn and caramel. Horrible sweet flavor with tons of butter, caramel and vegetables. Creamy diacetyl mouthfeel. Really bad.
