Light haze on this amber beer, good off white head. Palate is smooth and lightly dry with mild fine carbonation. Smooth malt and slightly tangy citrus. Traces of herb and spice. An ephemeral nutty tone and some lager character before a neutral finish. Interesting beer.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy very dark amber with off-white head. Dark aroma of malt and caramel, possibly a little roast. Tastes of good rye bread, caramel, malt and roasted grain. Bready aftertaste. Decent stuff.

Bottle, 5.5%. Buttery aroma. Cloudy red/brown colour. The flavour is buttery, malty, hint of roasted barley. Rough bitterness. Would have been good without the butter, I guess.

Small white head. Hazy yellow body. Light grainy dusty aroma with fruity herbal notes. Dry.-sweet grainy dusty mealy taste with fruity herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry dusty strawy fruity aftertaste with long lingering herbal earthy wooden notes. Nice, unusual, and drinkable. (0.5l draft at Alynas, Vilnius.)

Bottled, from Stockmann, Riga, Latvia. Cloudy golden, brief head. Honeyish nose. Mid sweet with medium body. Fruity with honey and some floral hops. Minerally finish with mild bitterness. Glad to see Lithuanian microbrews starting to seep out on export, even if I think that the majority is way better on tap.

Bottle from Baltic Branch Dover. Hazy golden brown, big creamy off-white head. Sour aroma. Starts quite sour for a second, then lovely malt flavours set in, with a delicious touch of caramel. The sourness lingers in the background and goes well with the caramel, earthy hops and hints of mint. There is a tiny touch of smoke in the lingering finish Extremely unusual - extremely delicious and moreish.
