12oz bottle. Black brown body, rusty beige head. More roast in the aroma than smoke, Pretty weak example of the style. Sort of tastes like a homebrew version of Stoned Smoked Porter. Cheapish feel to it. Drinkable, but unimpressive.

12oz bottle. Pretty mediocre to bad. Real simplistic, old school, cheap ingredient, kind of grainy feel. The honey smooths it out some I suppose. Medium bodied, pretty easy drinking stuff. if it didn’t taste so bad Really weak offering.

Sampled from a firkin at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dark grains with underlying notes of butterscotch, smoke and cherry. Flavor has an awkward cherry, smoke and butterscotch combination that does not work.

Gold color. Light grain aroma and flavor, but I do pick up a little sweetness in the end. Light and not much to it.

From a bottle. Light aroma and mild flavor. Some grain, it tastes like beer, but there is very little going on here. --- Beer merged from original tick of Stagecoach Amber Ale on 22 Aug 2018 at 17:10 - Score: 4. Original review text: 9/9/03

Bottle. Black of course. Aroma has roasted grain and coffee. Roast in the flavor, with more coffee, as well as very mild acidic quality. But I do not pick up the smoke in the flavor or aroma.

Served to me by the brewer at The Homegrown Experience, from a growler. Light yellow color. The aroma is spot on with coriander and Belgian yeast, and they hit the flavor too, with citrus, wheat, coriander. But even though the flavor and aroma are there, they are much too light, along with the palate.

Cask at SPSBF. Pours a hazy deep amber with a brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a soggy old cereal note with a backing strong alcohol/whiskey note. Flavor is sweet with grains and cereal with the whiskey coming out in the finish. A bit thin.

Amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is of hopps, with more hopps in the taste. Reminded me of an ipa, I was surprised to see the brewer call it an American.
