Tulip at Crazy Mountain Lakewood - lightly hazy copper - nose of honey, confectioners sugar, white pepper, clove - flavor is sweet and eatery (banana, clove), like so many American versions - some peppery phenols and straw - finish is sweet, with a toasty graininess - eh, it's drinkable.

Sample at the Denver Winter Brew Fest. Pours a hazy, light yellow, with a small, white head. Orange juice aroma, with some pine sap, chalk, and peaches. Sweet and citrusy, with a hard bitterness. Medium body, with a pulpy, citrusy mouthfeel. This is a pretty solid NEIPA, but a bit harsh.

Pint at the brewery - more of a scotch ale than a Scottish ale - very sweet, notes of smoke and caramelized sugars, sometimes bordering on burnt sugars, sadly - cherry, dough - a light acidity that I’m not sure is intentional - dark bread and a light spiciness - eh.
