Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear medium yellow orange color with a small, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderete hoppy, flowers, citrus, light butter. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat.

Cask@GBBF2007. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is lots of vegetables, some yeasty hints and slight fruits. Flavour is the same along with hints of cookies and toffee.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2007. Gold, thin off white head. Drinkable, some golden syrup malt. Itโs inoffensive. Good mouthfeel, some peach/apricot. For a 4.4% beer I want more to happen. Good condition though.

(Bottle 50 cl) Mahogany brown with a warm, reddish glow. Tall, handsome, beige head with good retention. Lovely fresh aroma of roasted malt. Surprisingly light body with lots of fruit and plenty of malty accents - not really burned malt though. Quite pleasant and drinkable but lacks some balls. 160206

A hazy deep red beer with a huge orange head. The aroma is sweet malty and slightly acidic and roasted. The flavor is sweet again combined with hints of acidity, but also notes of roasted malt, caramel and hints of sulphur. I think of this like more a Mild than a Porter.

Cask gravity at Battersea Beer Festival 2006. Copper colour with thin white head. Bitter aroma. Quite full in mouth with some cream, even coffee. As a strong bitter, itโs good.

Bottled. Deep amber. Huge flowery, lighty acidic aroma (in fact just like my friend''s homebrew). Full bodied with filling mouthfeel. Bitter hop aromatic finish.

Bottled. Very dark brown with smallish beige head. Roasty and lightly acidic. On the thin side. Roatyfinish with average bitterness. Disappointing ale, roughly in the brown stout category, from an otherwise excellent brewery.
