The appearance was a semi-dark copper color with an off white foamy head that slowly dissolved. Spider web lace.
The aroma had a clean sweet caramel/toffee malt, some cherry sweetness, floral hop character and a little bit of earthy/herbal hoppiness.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a little bit of red delicious apple coming in for a decent blend. Aftertaste was semi-sweet along with the finish.
The palate was between light and medium bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Good smoothness along my tongue.
Overall, I think I liked this one for me as it really wasn’t much of an Irish red. Sure is different if anything.

The appearance was a sturdy thick brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a good pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had a good blend of toast, caramel/toffee malts, light nuts, little bit of cocoa powder. Ends with some grassy hops.
The flavor leaned towards the sweetness of the previously mentioned aromas. Mild aftertaste of the malts. Sly toasty finish.
The feel was between light and medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt as projected and the carbonation felt good as well.
Overall, pretty good brown ale worthy of more pours if I could get it.

Tap at BH. Orange copper body. Pleasant balance between the berries and the banana from the yeast. OK.

Looks like a dark amber. Smells OK. Extract. Some roastiness, but not enough. More of a chocolate amber.

Tap at BH. The flavor profile is right on. The body is just thin, neutered, lacking depth. Slickly sweet. Extract blandness.

Said it was 11 percent at the brewery. Complete sugar bomb. Still has some nice yeasty notes, but no subtlety. Not on par with a Belgian Ale in any way. Homebrew. OK.

Tap at BH. Sweet and sugary. Hazy orange brown. Thin off-white head. Forgettable extract homebrew.

Tap at BH. Big fruity English Ale yeast tastes. Has a true-ish English feel, at least unique from the other beers on the menu. A little zesty and in your face though, lacks much subtlety. Pretty standard offering at the end of the day. OK.

Tap at Blue Heron. Rich and sweet. Classic US-Belgo Dubbel. Lacks proper effervescence. Quite sugary. Very filling.

Tap at Blue Heron. Foamy soapy beige head. Burgundy brown body as much as black. Big oily chocolate covered hop tones. Rich but drinkable. Big specialty malt tones. Right on.
