Draft at Chubby Squirrel Brewing. Poured a very hazy yellow-orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma was bitter citrus. Creamy, boozy. Didn't realize the alcohol content in this until long after I had it. Definitely a bit on the boozy side.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, but noticeable light brown head that starts at only a centimetre tall, but fades quickly and leaves a small oily dash on top. Aroma of deep roasted malts, caramelised sugars, bread, dough, chocolate and cocoa with a bunch of cream, milk and lactose notes, but the sugars and pungent sweet notes dominate here along with the bitter roasted malts. Full-bodied; Very rich, creamy flavours show at first with a bunch of vanilla, cocoa, cream, milk, lactose and nuttiness shows through at first, but then is overshadowed by the roasted malts and deep molasses notes - very strong and pungent throughout. Aftertaste shows a lot of the richness from the malts, but the sweetness is quite nice, especially at the end with the vanilla, caramelised sugars and a bit of dough (perhaps it's the beignets?) that is unfinished at the very end. Overall, a nice Imperial Stout with a ton of flavours, very rich sweetness and a good deal of complexity, especially at the beginning. This would be nice to age for a few years before sampling, but I didn't get that opportunity this time - but still nice to try fresh! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, 'born on' 06-January-2021 and given to me after a hockey game by my teammate, and sampled on the roof of my hockey rink after a game on 09-June-2021, thanks Jacob!
